This project got its start in the usual fashion – taking a road trip with a complete stranger and then sharing a hotel bed together 😉 Lisa, who commissioned me for this logo design project, is a fellow moto riding gal and happens to have a really talented boyfriend starting up a custom motorcycle shop – Urban East.
Lisa and I (met through the DC Motorbabes) carpooled to a flat track moto camp in April and in order to save a bit of cash bunked up! You know how sometimes you meet a person and you just click? Yep. That’s pretty much what happened with Lisa! We spend 15 minutes looking for her phone that was in her pocket and the rest is history! During the trip she told me about Urban East’s work and got me rolling on a logo and t-shirt project to fit their style.

Heavy into vintage bikes with an eye for custom fabrication and careful maintenance and repair the upstart shop in Northern Virginia is already turning out some awesome bikes! Check out Lisa’s super cool CB they built!
