New studio assistant – Meet Eugene

We got a kitten!! His name is Eugene and Oh. My. Goodness. Look at this little face, look at those blue eyes! How am I supposed to get anything done around here when all I want to do is play and cuddle this little dude (and take 1000s of photos too, of course!). Crazy cat lady in the making! 😉

If you know me at all, you know that I love animals. I have been talking Casey’s ears off about how I want a puppy since the day we met. But unfortunately (thankfully for him) our apartment complex doesn’t allow dogs, only cats. So after overthinking every aspects of it, we took the plunge and got a kitten! I had honestly always considered myself a dog person until we got this little guy. A local rescue/foster group was holding an adoption event not far from us, so we decided to check it out as we were interested in a little female kitten we saw on their website. Once we got there the little kitten we had our eyes on wasn’t there but we saw this little boy and we fell head over heels for him. He was the smallest one of his litter and all of them had had a tough time already. Abandoned, worms, ear mites, poor guys!

We got Eugene a few days later once he was done with his deworming treatment (and his foster mom was ready to let him go). He had a little pot belly from digestive issues related to the worms he had, and man! We smelled it – his first night with us, was a stinky one! He got a little upper respiratory system infection a couple of days later but nothing serious. He is healthy, ear mite free and worm free now!
What an entertaining and curious little guy – he follows us everywhere, talks to us (even though he sounds like a squeaky toy right now), climbs up our legs and cuddles us like nobody’s business! He has us wrapped around his little paws, already.
